President’s Message
It is a delight and honor to serve as President of The Sharon Garden Club. I moved to Sharon in 1992 and love living in this community. I am married with two grown children and most days from April to December, you can find me in my garden. Like most gardeners, I spend a good amount of time leaning on a shovel, wondering what to do next; pondering the eternal question of why it is weeds grow faster than anything else in my garden?
As President, I hope to continue the traditions of this garden club whilst steering us into the 21st century; making us relevant to a new generation of gardeners, who are interested in where their food is sourced, how to grow their own produce and focused on issues that affect our climate and ecosystems. It is also important to continue our interest in floral arts, conservation, horticulture, and raise funds for our civic beautification projects.
We welcome all gardeners: old, young, with no experience or lots of experience. Being part of the Garden Club has enriched my life, and I have enjoyed making new friends and being part of the Sharon community.
